Shopping in T.Nagar

A place that never becomes dull. Be it Sundays or year ends.Crowds hovering around petty shops in platform, poor husbands tending their kids when moms are busy selecting vastrakala sarees and small chat food stalls selling cut mangoes like hot cakes always brings u to a well known & homely atmosphere.Even when gold rates are hiking up like anything, every single jewellery shop is crowded. The madness for shopping and buying clothes is quite high offlate.Shopping only for diwali and pongal is not the trend nowadays, just for fun -shopping crowd with friends, girlfriends and boyfriends and who else are not there in this place.Starting from all silk sarees to kids dress, food items and what not u can find in T.Ngr.But what ever it is, shopping in that mind boggling crowd has itz own fun.I am too dogmatic about this place that any duty free shops or a mall that holds fashion world's best ever found costumes doesn't match this place.

I've never been to chennai, the scene you described is pretty similar to kalbadevi of mumbai. the only fear that keeps from chennai as i heard (or misinterpreted) that people don't speak other than tamil. may be one day i'll venture out.
