Happy Republic Day!!!

Saare jahan se achcha,
Hindustitha hamara
hamara,
Saare jahan se achcha.

There was once a time when I used to wake up early and go for the Republic Day parade that happens in my school. Every year the parade contains the proud productions of Tank Factory. Vijayanta, T-72 [Defense tanks] is always the BEST that Indian Defense Organizations could develop. On that day people were allowed to get into tanks and have a small ride [Shuld I call it pleasure ride or a proud Indianism]. My dad used to show me the techniques and parts he worked with. These were a routine for every Independence & Republic Day.

Life in defense colony is always a wonderful experience. A series of similar quarters, shady roads, and a small market that contains everything you require. It can be taken as the most comfortable life. The colony is placed away from city’s dusty life. You can find lots of greenery and vacant spaces left just for trees to grow. When Chennai city faces water scarcity you won’t experience one & uninterrupted power supplies are some of the best privileges you get. Living in such places has itz own disadvantages. A phone connection requires “No Objection” certificate from the security people, which takes months together to get processed. Similarly bringing in relatives to our place requires a series of signature campaigns. Apart from all these I still cherish those days I spent in defense colony and the Republic day parades I saw.
