A visit to Singapore.

Singapore is actually called as Mini–India, but I would call it as Mini-TamilNadu. When venturing out of India for the first time, I was more worried about food with capital ‘F’ than the other factors like altitude fears. Missing mom’s idlies and Dosas was a horrible option to me. But was quite relieved to have all Chennai dishes out there. Out of all the places I visited in Singapore, I am jst putting down some of the best places I rem’bered.
Sentosa Island: The Sentosa Island is located in the South of the city. The tropical forests which covered formerly the essence of the island of Singapore are limited today to the center where we find vast natural reserves. There are several ways to reach Sentosa Island, but the best is to take the cable car from Mt. Faber. The cable car offers some dramatic views of the city and Sentosa Island. Mt. Faber is not a terribly high mountain, but it is high enough to offer a good vantage point of the city.
The Night Safari: The Night Safari is one of the main attractions on your Singapore tour. The Singapore Zoo has been thoughtfully created to simulate the natural habitats of its resident animals. The Night Safari at Singapore is not to be missed; it is the first of its kind. The Zoo can be explored along its meandering walking trails or from the comfort of a tram that winds its way along a circular route. It is home to more than 2,000 animals representing over 240 species, the highlights of which include the polar bears and primate kingdom. Some 1000 nocturnal creatures can be found around these zones, from fierce predators to timid forest dwellers; all of them are seen in spacious enclosures that are crafted to mimic the wilderness as much as possible.
Jurong Bird Park And Jurong Reptile Park: This park is 20-hectares large, and is the largest bird park in South-East Asia. It houses 8000 birds from 600 species. It also has the world's largest hornbill collections. It also contains the world's largest man-made waterfall. Penguins can also be found at the Jurong Bird Park. All these species are housed in an air-conditioned habitat where they can be viewed through glass walls.
So without missing home and home food, reached back safely to home, sweet home.
