A Friend!!!

Funny it is.. all I wanted was for my bestie to settle down. 

I was super happy that it all worked out despite the troubles and cold feet( which I had warm up gazillion times).

And on the day of wedding or reception,  I dolled up with my friends and was all ready to see the bride and groom. I was happy to see them and then like someone pulled rug from under the feet it was all very unsteady.

I felt that the luxury I had to pick up phone, just call and pester this person would never be there anymore. It was a void I knew I would have and still it was too much to digest in one go.

On the way back I didn't talk much to my ladies and I was just numb. So high school-ish of me. 

Does it affect our friendship-no
Does it change the way we talk and react to each other -no

But this person was my 3 AM friend , which might not be that easy any more. We learn to adapt and work around the changes and just that some things need time.

Time for friends!!!!

Probably we would have read this as a forward or deleted it without reading. But now.. Lets take time to read it. One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down. It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers. That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual. On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. "Really?" she heard whispered. Malayalam-too tough

Aahaaaa…..Finally got something to post about. Was suffering from writer’s block... he.. hee.he. Spent a few days at my granny’s place with net access denied and got back home just this weekend. Now when I am back to blogsville something has taken back my writing skills. Thought too much about what to post and my mom could see a smoke coming through my ears. Now getting back to topic. Since I had no special work to carry on I was ransacking my shelves to find some good old books to read. My hands fell on a book and it was my Malayalam book. When my exams got over I was bent on making mom help me learn Malayalam. That turned out to be a disaster. Though I am a malayalee, being born and brought up in Chennai is the only reason I can’t read and write my mother tongue. That’s a shame. I wanted to learn before I reach trivandrum for my training at TCS.
