Happy New Year

Happy 2020!!! That's a decade gone and this one has been tremendous year

To reminisce my last year..( obviously Dewy is included)

1) Superb summer. We roamed lot of places that I had to call time out( never ever thought I would do that)
2) Dewy added a year to her life and has grown into a beautiful pre teen girl 
3) Stepped up in technical ladder( though in lower rung) but to lift foot from ground took lot of energy
4) Steered my high energy towards a simple DIY art called Diamond Painting 
5) My cousin was blessed with a boy baby and he is latest addition to this crazy family
6) Successfully convinced my parents to come here for vacation and save me from my own cooking. They havent come yet so jury is still out there
7) Dewy did 2 stage performances in guitar and she did come out shining
8) Started my walking habit back seriously and continuing that kicked back habit( which to me is important)
9) Kinda closed down one major debt I had ("Kinda" being the emphasis Your honor)
10) Watched New Year go by in Downtown with ball drop (which was one of my wishlist. Though I wanted to see Time's Square one)

Nothing great has happened,  nothing worst also. So it was a good year.

Decade has been a roller coaster.  Added a family member,  negated one, jumped continents and dared yo raise a kid alone in a new country  and overall with few scratches and bandaid, it did do me well


So Once again Happy New Year and Welcome new decade!!!

Freedom at Midnight

Till date I never read a book consecutively twice. But I had to; in this case. When I completed reading the book first time I was too lost in facts to miss the emotions. I felt hatred, devotion, anger and a confused feeling towards British, Indian Leaders, Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Gandhi in that order. I was surprised how little I knew about my mother land. The Empire was 'heavy with gold, black with industrial soot, and red with the blood of conquest.' Collins and Lapierre open the book on New Year's Day, 1947 -- London awakes to filth of its own country. The reader is taken on a journey of significant events that lead to the independence of India. Malayalam-too tough

Aahaaaa…..Finally got something to post about. Was suffering from writer’s block... he.. hee.he. Spent a few days at my granny’s place with net access denied and got back home just this weekend. Now when I am back to blogsville something has taken back my writing skills. Thought too much about what to post and my mom could see a smoke coming through my ears. Now getting back to topic. Since I had no special work to carry on I was ransacking my shelves to find some good old books to read. My hands fell on a book and it was my Malayalam book. When my exams got over I was bent on making mom help me learn Malayalam. That turned out to be a disaster. Though I am a malayalee, being born and brought up in Chennai is the only reason I can’t read and write my mother tongue. That’s a shame. I wanted to learn before I reach trivandrum for my training at TCS. So with the same vigor I bought a book to help me, since mom had certain confusion with new version and started learning the alphabets. Afte
