GH, Chennai-600003

Is it General hospital or Govt: Hospital or (Gorgeous, gratuitous recovery provider, genius doctors, good enough facilities) hospital????? I visited GH today and was astonished at itz clean and healthy environment. All private hospitals stand no-where near this one. The treatment given here is almost free for low-income group. The patient whom I visited was in his convalescence period after an important operation. The total amount he paid for the period of 2 days is just Rs 40/-. It would not be the same in any private hospitals. The place looks spic & span and even if there is anything thats becuase of our people's actions. The place is visited by lakhs of people and it requires a solid working hours to keep that clean. The real history of GH is like this:It is perhaps the country's first hospital was set up over 300 years ago in Chennapatna, now Chennai. It was Governor Edward Winter who set up that hospital at Fort. St. George, for the British residents. On October 15,

Happy Republic Day!!!

Saare jahan se achcha, Hindustitha hamara hamara, Saare jahan se achcha. There was once a time when I used to wake up early and go for the Republic Day parade that happens in my school. Every year the parade contains the proud productions of Tank Factory. Vijayanta, T-72 [Defense tanks] is always the BEST that Indian Defense Organizations could develop. On that day people were allowed to get into tanks and have a small ride [Shuld I call it pleasure ride or a proud Indianism]. My dad used to show me the techniques and parts he worked with. These were a routine for every Independence & Republic Day. Life in defense colony is always a wonderful experience. A series of similar quarters, shady roads, and a small market that contains everything you require. It can be taken as the most comfortable life. The colony is placed away from city’s dusty life. You can find lots of greenery and vacant spaces left just for trees to grow. When Chennai city faces water scarcity you won’t experience

One flew over Cuckoos’ Nest

Got that book from my friend to drive away the boredom. I found it too hard to continue reading it with the first few chapters. Even I just closed it down in the midway b’coz of the slow pace of story. Recently Time Magazine made a lists of top 100 English Language novels from 1923 to the present and this book was listed. So started off again to find out how it got into that list. The plot and my views about that book: Plot: Randle Patrick McMurphy... He's a man full of life, and the will to live. It's hard to describe his character in full. He's been committed to an asylum from a normal prison. It's been rumored that he got in there intentionally to get out of prison labor. From the moment he enters the building it's war between he and the dictator, I mean head nurse, who runs the ward. She has all of the authority, and he only the will to set the balance right. I don't want to give away the story so that's all I can give you. According to me: It's be

Ur photo is rejected!!!

“Stop!!! Your photo is rejected as you are smiling in it.” Have you ever heard of this line? Or is it new to you? Then hear this. This is a RULE in U.K. Your passport size photos are rejected in UK just because you are smiling in it. Around 15,000 photos are rejected in a short duration because of this rule. "The subject's expression should be neutral [non-smiling] with both eyes open, and mouth closed," says a rule cited in the rejection of a visa photograph of a tooth-showing person. When it comes to some U.S. government photos, smiling is frowned upon. But most people won't know they're not supposed to smile unless they visit the U.S. State Department's Web site and read the lengthy set of instructions for photographs, including colors permitted for the background, proper lighting, directions for eye height, head orientation, and the necessary "natural expression" with no squinty eyes or flashing teeth. The reason they specify for these instructi

Shopping in T.Nagar

A place that never becomes dull. Be it Sundays or year ends.Crowds hovering around petty shops in platform, poor husbands tending their kids when moms are busy selecting vastrakala sarees and small chat food stalls selling cut mangoes like hot cakes always brings u to a well known & homely atmosphere.Even when gold rates are hiking up like anything, every single jewellery shop is crowded. The madness for shopping and buying clothes is quite high offlate.Shopping only for diwali and pongal is not the trend nowadays, just for fun -shopping crowd with friends, girlfriends and boyfriends and who else are not there in this place.Starting from all silk sarees to kids dress, food items and what not u can find in T.Ngr.But what ever it is, shopping in that mind boggling crowd has itz own fun.I am too dogmatic about this place that any duty free shops or a mall that holds fashion world's best ever found costumes doesn't match this place.

My dearest friend.

An unimaginative product of Prince; many say we look like twins, She floats in a filmy world, with a voice of sweet bird; Enriching herself with a musical database, Can answer to any wonderful maze. A naive woman of beauty, helping others is her first duty; Warms up people with a smile, And itz vibrancy reaches up a mile; Gets calls more than a BPO, Lends her ears to your woe. Made glass bangles as her identity, And brought it back to city. Cricket & dravid in her tips, Mumuring songs of Karthick in lips. A chirpy woman of enthusiasm, This is how I define her. With a name short enough to call And a person sweet enough to have as a friend. Too much hooked up with these so called poems. So jst taking a short time break with this one to fulfill my friend's request.
